Hello, I saw the announcement on the front page of the website that MSFS2020 compatibility is planned, I was wondering if it is planned to support the default Airbus A320 at all? Also curious on the status of support and if more is required from the MSFS SDK (which seems to be an issue for several addon companies) or if work is progressing? I have the desktop FCU and MCDU.

Thanks for any info.

All SKALARKI hardware connects to the aircraft directly, not to the simulator. So if aircraft is ready for MFS2020, then hardware is ready as well.
If comes to default A320, from first reviews it is very basic simulation. Obviously useless for cockpit builders. Once is more modelled, then we will create interface for it.
We need to wait probably 6 more months to benefit from new platform.

Thanks Marcin, while the default A320 is indeed quite basic, there is a concerted effort by some volunteer developers to improve the default A320 and they are doing a magnificent job. Here's a link to the "flybywire" Airbus mod:

https://github.com/flybywiresim/a32nx

And a few discussion of what it can do:

https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/585647-a320-v030-mod-released/

It's not an FSLabs level addon at this point (and likely never will be), but I'd say it's certainly getting up to an Aerosoft Airbus level of fidelity. I can't speak to whether this mod is used by cockpit builders, but given you also have a desktop line I can say most desktop users that want to fly an A320 in MSFS are likely using this mod.

Hopefully you can look into this and consider some level of basic support (even being able to use the FCU would be great) given that we're likely years away from having an FSLabs product in MSFS and it would be a shame for our desktop gear to collect dust in the meantime.

Thanks,

Dave
